❓ How do I activate SecuPass for FTAPI SecuMails?

To send and receive deliveries with end-to-end encryption, you need the SecuPass. You set it up once and then use it for highly secure sending and receiving.

Setting up the SecuPass

If you have not activated end-to-end encryption yet, follow these steps.

1. Log in with your FTAPI account. To reach the login screen in your browser, use the email notification you received.
2. After logging in, you will find the icon for your account in the top right corner. It is also marked with a red exclamation mark.
3. Click the icon and then select the Set up SecuPass button.
4. Now set your SecuPass and confirm it. The applicable requirements, for example minimum length and required characters, are shown directly in the input field. These requirements are defined by your administrator.

Done. You can now use your SecuPass.

Access to deliveries received earlier

If you received an end-to-end encrypted delivery before setting up your SecuPass, the sender is informed about the setup and grants you access again. You can then decrypt the delivery. For all future deliveries with end-to-end encryption, this step is no longer necessary. Encryption and decryption then happen directly.

If you forget your SecuPass, you will lose access to all deliveries with end-to-end encryption. Your administrator can reset the SecuPass, but all files will then need to be re-sent to you.
