FTAPI Version 4.67.0

Released on 13.08.2026.

New

SecuRooms

  • Invite user groups to encrypted data rooms: Entire user groups can now be invited to end-to-end encrypted data rooms, instead of inviting each member individually. The keys for all members are generated automatically. Members without a SecuPass are guided through the setup on first access and define their personal password in the process.
  • Change a group's role with effect on all members: The role of an invited group in a data room can now be changed, for example from Editor to Viewer. The new role is applied automatically to all current members of the group, so individual access rights no longer have to be adjusted one by one. A data room always keeps at least one Owner.
  • Number of items per folder in the content overview: In the size column of the data room content overview, folders now show how many items they directly contain, for example "3 items". This makes it clear from the overview alone whether a folder holds content, without opening it.
  • One set of rules for SecuMails and SecuRooms: The restrictions you configure per user group in the administration now apply to SecuRooms as well as SecuMails. In SecuRooms, uploads of file types on the file type blacklist are rejected, and so are invitations to recipients excluded by the group whitelist or blacklist.

SecuMails

  • Key metrics overview in the "Intelligent Email Encryption" dashboard: The dashboard now shows four tiles above the trend chart with the most important metrics: emails processed, successfully delivered, failed, and daily average. Each tile includes a comparison with the previous period, so volume and delivery quality can be assessed at a glance.
  • Time range filter in the "Intelligent Email Encryption" dashboard: A global time range filter now controls every analysis on the dashboard; the last 7, 30, and 90 days are available. Metrics and chart therefore always refer to the same period, so figures and trends can be read together without converting between them.
  • Incident overview in the "Intelligent Email Encryption" dashboard: A notice banner shows the number of incidents in the selected period, split into errors, warnings, and pending cases. The table below lists each incident with timestamp, error type, sender and recipient, encryption method, and status. Failed deliveries can therefore be assessed directly in the dashboard, without searching the email log.
  • Enforce password protection for level 1 deliveries: Administrators now define per user group how password protection for level 1 deliveries is handled — mandatory, recommended, or optional:
    • In optional mode, the sender may set a password or leave it out.
    • In recommended mode, the sender is prompted to set a password but can decline.
    • In mandatory mode, a delivery cannot be sent without a password, so protection no longer depends on the individual sender's decision.

On request, a generator creates a password that complies with the configured password policy and copies it to the clipboard with one click, ready to be shared with the recipient over a second channel. The password of a delivery that has already been sent can be reset from the Outbox, without sending the data again.

Platform

  • New "Apps & Integrations" section: The web interface now has a dedicated "Apps & Integrations" section, reachable from the navigation. It is shown to administrators only and brings together the FTAPI applications SecuRooms Drive and the Outlook add-ins (New and Classic) as well as the available integrations in one place. Administrators find download and setup paths without searching across several sections.
  • Configurable default landing page: Administrators can now define the default landing page that appears first after login. SecuRooms and SecuMails are available, depending on the product in use. Users therefore land directly in the product they work with, instead of switching first. The setting is located under "Settings → System → Appearance → General".

Improved

SecuRooms

  • Revoking access now applies to all subfolders: When access to a data room or folder is revoked, the system now removes it automatically throughout the entire folder structure below. Reworking folder by folder is no longer necessary, and no overlooked individual access rights remain in subfolders.
    • Group access: Revocation applies to the group and to the access rights its members derive from it.
    • Direct user access: Revocation also covers open invitations that have not been accepted yet. Access that the same user holds through a group remains in place.
  • Downloads from unencrypted data rooms in the progress display: Downloads of individual files, entire folders, complete data rooms, and multiple selections from unencrypted data rooms now appear in the progress display on the "Downloads" tab. The status of every download is therefore visible in the same place as for encrypted data rooms and for uploads.

SecuMails

  • Resending a notification also works for recipients who are not registered yet: Resending a notification from the Outbox now also works when the recipient is not yet registered with FTAPI. The detour via an administrator sending the access credentials instead is no longer needed.
  • Expired deliveries no longer block user cleanup: With the option "Keep users with open deliveries" enabled, expired deliveries without attachments no longer count as open. Automatic cleanup therefore also covers accounts that were previously skipped indefinitely; accounts with valid deliveries that have not been retrieved yet remain protected.
  • No additional notification to forwarded recipients: If inbox forwarding is enabled in the FTAPI Process Client, recipients on the forwarding list will not receive their own notification regarding the original delivery. This correction takes effect on the server side; an update to the Process Client is not required.

SecuForms

  • Signature download for field names containing a slash: Downloading a signature now also works when the name of the signature field contains a slash, for example "Signature client/customer". Signatures already submitted through such forms can be retrieved as well.

FTAPI Trust Networks

  • Level 1 deliveries with anonymous download enabled: When the setting "Allow anonymous level 1 downloads" is active, recipients open the attachments of a level 1 delivery without entering their email address. For deliveries sent through an FTAPI Trust Network, access failed in this combination. External recipients now reach the attachments there as well, directly via the link and without an intermediate step.

Platform

  • Large end-to-end encrypted downloads in Chrome and Edge: Downloads of end-to-end encrypted files larger than roughly 10 GB failed in Chrome and Edge with a storage error, because the free storage reported by the browser was checked in advance and that value came out too low. This check has been removed, and large encrypted downloads now complete in Chrome and Edge as well. Switching to Firefox, where these downloads already worked, is no longer necessary.

FTAPI Cloud customers do not need to do anything further; the update occured automatically. Via status.ftapi.com, you receive detailed information about the maintenance window.
