You can now edit both Office files and PDF files directly in the browser, making collaboration in data rooms even easier.

New

SecuRooms

  • Edit Office files directly in the browser: Office files in .docx and .xlsx formats can now be edited and updated directly in the data room. After editing the file, it is saved as a new version in the data room.
  • Annotate PDF files in the browser: Annotations in PDF files can now be commented on directly in the data room in a traceable manner. This makes collaboration in data rooms even easier. 


SecuMails

  • Expanded functionality for FTAPI-Trust Network: Encrypted deliveries can now also be sent to recipients who have not yet set up a SecuPass. As with SecuMails, a recipient without a SecuPass now receives a notification to set up a SecuPass. After setup, the delivery can then be released as usual.
  • More transparency with the Download Report: Downloaded deliveries can now be tracked even more precisely via the Download Report. The Download Report includes all downloads of a delivery, including the associated IP address. The report is activated in the administration under System > SecuMails > Delivery Log > Enable IP address logging and is then displayed in the Reports section.


Platform

  • Optimized language detection & notification settings: Users who have an FTAPI account will now always receive notifications in the language they have set in FTAPI (German, English, or French). Automatic language detection for new users who do not yet have an FTAPI account has been optimized. In addition, admins can now set a default language in the notification settings, which applies if the language cannot be automatically detected for new users.

SecuRooms

  • Old encrypted files that could not be downloaded are available again.
  • Loading data rooms after accessing the SecuRooms page is now faster.
  • The email format for plain text invitation notifications has been optimized.


Administration

  • When a SAML certificate has been renewed, no further notifications regarding certificate expiration will be sent, provided there are more than 35 days remaining until expiration.
  • After the SAML certificate is renewed by the admin, the SAML metadata package directly contains the new SAML certificate; a server restart is not required. 

FTAPI cloud customers do not need to take any further action; the update is performed automatically. Customers can obtain detailed information about the maintenance window via status.ftapi.com.
