π SecuRooms: Administrator role cannot share β assigning a license
This article explains how a system administrator assigns the necessary SecuRoom license to a user with the "Administrator" role so that they can share data rooms.
A user with the "Administrator" access role can only share a data room with others and manage permissions if that person has a SecuRoom license. FTAPI guest accounts do not receive such a license by default, even if they have been assigned the "Administrator" access role for a data room.
Step-by-step instructions for license assignment
To ensure the person can fully utilize the "Administrator" access role in SecuRooms, proceed as follows:
- Log in to your FTAPI instance with your admin account.
- Navigate to user management and search for the desired user.
- Add this user to the "SecuRooms" user group.
- Ensure that enough SecuRoom licenses are available, as the user will now claim a license.
Important note: Without a valid SecuRoom license, persons with the "Administrator" access role cannot share the data room with other persons or manage permissions.
