❓FTAPI Platform: Automatic language detection and language settings

This article explains how the FTAPI platform determines the language for system notifications and user interfaces based on browser settings and user profiles.

Logic of system notifications

The language of automatic system emails (e.g., notifications about new deliveries) is determined as follows:

  • New users: The language set as the default for the respective FTAPI environment is used.
  • Existing users: The language stored in the personal user profile is used.

System language during initial account creation

When you log in for the first time or create a new account, the system determines the language as follows:

New user via delivery (SecuMails) or SecuRoom invitation

When you log in for the first time or create a new account, the browser language is determined for the login process. This is then automatically saved in your user profile.

New user via manual creation (admin)

During login, the browser language is identified first. However, as soon as the login is completed, the language previously set by the administrator in your profile is used.

System language for subsequent logins

When you log in again with your existing account, the following logic applies to the system language:

  • If you log in via a computer you have used to log in to your account before, the language stored in your user profile is used.
  • If you log in using a new computer you have not used before, the browser language is used for the login process. Subsequently, after a successful login, the language stored in the user profile is applied.

You can adjust your preferred language at any time in your user profile under settings.

The following table provides a quick overview of the language logic for the various scenarios:

ScenarioLanguage logic
First loginBrowser language is determined and saved in the profile.
