π SecuRooms: Special rules for administrators and owner changes
This article summarizes the special administrative rules for SecuRooms, including promoting users to the owner role and ensuring a minimum number of owners.
Rules & special features
- At least 1 user with "Owner" access role per data room:
A data room requires at least one user with the "Owner" access role. If only one user with the "Owner" access role remains in the data room, they cannot be removed to ensure the room's administration. - Promotion to "Owner" by administrator:
Administrators can promote a user to "Owner" of a data room via the data room console (Administration > SecuRooms), even if they do not yet have all permissions.
Use case: Owner change
The use case for promotion by the admin is usually an owner change:
- A user with the "Owner" access role leaves the company.
- The administrator appoints a new "Owner" for the data room via the data room console to ensure its management.
