FTAPI Version 4.35.1

New FTAPI version in April 2024

New

  • FTAPI platform: A new security setting is available for system registration. When enabled, the 'Reset password' action can only be performed by users who have already registered with their initial password. Learn more.
  • FTAPI platform: The initial registration process now features a new and user-friendly design. All users who are prompted to register in order to access a delivery or a data room will benefit from this update.

  • FTAPI SecuRooms: Clicking on 'SecuRooms' in the left sidebar now redirects to the data room overview (= My data).
  • FTAPI SecuRooms: The breadcrumb navigation has been improved and 'My data' has been replaced by a home icon.

Fixed

  • FTAPI platform: Under certain conditions, the download link for security level 1 deliveries resulted in an incorrect redirect. This has been fixed; users are now always redirected to the download page instead of the login screen.
  • FTAPI platform: The captcha that appears when users enter incorrect login data multiple times now loads correctly for usernames containing umlauts. 
  • FTAPI platform: Usernames containing umlauts were unable to successfully log in to the FTAPI web interface. 
  • FTAPI SecuMails: For all users receiving a security level 3 or 4 delivery for the first time, the download disclaimer (if enabled) is now displayed again before the file download.
  • FTAPI SecuMails: Under certain circumstances, delivery ZIP files could not be downloaded correctly.
  • FTAPI SecuMails: The sender name and security level were not automatically applied when using the reply button in deliveries. 
  • FTAPI SecuRooms: When an administrator changed a new user's password, issues occurred with data room access.
  • FTAPI SecuRooms: The icons in the upload panel are now displayed correctly again.
  • FTAPI SecuForms: If users select a file with a ':' in the filename for upload, an error message is now displayed and the upload process is stopped. Background: Windows and other operating systems do not accept ':' in filenames. 

Security

  • The iText software component has been replaced by OpenPDF 1.3.30, fixing several CVEs (including CVE-2022-24196).
  • Ember.js has been updated to the current version 3.28.8.

Update information
FTAPI cloud customers do not need to take any action; the update is performed automatically. Customers can find detailed information about the maintenance window at status.ftapi.com.
